Anatoly S. Mikhailov
Anatoly has completed numerous public commissions for clients ranging from world leaders to famous figures and countless portraiture.
Our shared history and human mythology guided Anatoly Mikhailov to create sculptures and paintings challenging us to look into the souls and the state of mind of those around us.
His modeling style brings with it exploration of daily human themes. The emotional depth of each work further asks us to explore how we survive the joy and disappointment of life.
Anatoly graduated from National Academy of Art in Leningrad (now Saint-Petersburg) in 1986 with a Master's degree in Sculpture and Drawing. He studied a wide range of subjects including sculpture, drawing, anatomy, perspective, architecture, philosophy and the history of fine art.
He had moved to New York in 1989.
Anatoly passed away in 2015.
